Food Drive
Spring
WASA helps people and organizations by filling in gaps where we can. None are more important than the Westborough Food Pantry who help people survive hard times by providing a well-rounded array of foods for their weekly selection and offer, as well, some basic non-food items such as paper products and personal care products on a rotation basis. It is inspirational for WASA to serve as an annual conduit for the Westborough community and receive thousands of pounds of food to support those in our community that are less fortunate. WASA works with local grocery stores Roche Brothers, Stop and Shop Speedway and Stop and Shop Lyman Street to ask patrons if they could pick up needed supplies. Harvey's provides transportation and allows us to gather cash donations from their facility.

Golf Tournament
September
The end of summer provides the best weather to be outside in Westborough. Warm days, cool nights and no spring rains. Come out and play golf with WASA to help support the people and organizations in Westborough. Each year we fill up the course, have several contests and have a banquet at the end where we get together and each tell tales of perfect golf shots! Reach out early as this event fills up quickly. If you're not able to attend and would like to sponsor, please let us know as there are various ways to sponsor the event!
Sandra Pond Trout Stocking
Date: Like we would really tell you :-)
WASA is proud to support fishing in Westborough through our administration of the Westborough Fish Stocking Fund. Originally performed by the town government, fish stocking became a victim of budget cuts in the early 2000's. As someone's grandmother once said, "I never saw a kid get into trouble with a fishing pole in their hand", so in response, WASA set up the infrastructure to receive funds and makes them available for stocking trout in the Sandra Pond Reservoir. This fund has been active since 2002 and results in the stocking of several hundred trout each year.

WASA Calendars
May-June
Most people agree that a Win-Win is the best scenario. We do one better with our calendar raffle because it is a Win-Win-and (possibly) Win-again! Every June we run our Calendar Raffle Fund Raiser. In the weeks leading up to June 1st WASA members sell entries for the fundraiser. Each entry is added to the "hat" and we select a winner for each day of the month. Best of all - the entry is returned to the hat and is eligible to Win-Win-and-Win-Again!
We do have internal bragging rights on who sells the most entries - so please join in, help us to help others and get a WASA member(s) closer to those bragging rights.
WASA Turkey Shoot
November 2021
The WASA Turkey Shoot is held annually on the Saturday evening before Thanksgiving. Have you ever spun a wheel and won a turkey? Then you haven't lived! On average 50 turkeys are won throughout the evening, plus there are tons of raffle prizes and fantastic entertainment. Dance the night away with friends and do it all for a great cause - the kids of Westborough!
